Volume Control

The Volume Control remains identical to the one supplied with Windows 95. You can adjust the volume and balance by a sliding control for each of the following: Wave, MIDI, CD Audio, Line-in, Microphone, PC Speaker and an overall Volume Control. There are Mute check boxes for each of the aforementioned options. The only other commands are accessible from the Options command on the menu bar. Properties enables you to choose which Mixer device you use. You can determine which volume controls to display and whether to adjust volume for Playback, Recording, or Other, which includes such options as Voice commands. Selecting Options/Advanced Controls adds a button under the master volume control. Clicking on this enables you to adjust the bass and treble of your audio sounds via two slide controls.
